APRIL - "Loveliest of trees, the cherry now..."

Loveliest of trees, the cherry now Is hung with bloom along the bough, And stands about the woodland ride Wearing white for Eastertide. Now, of my threescore years and ten, Twenty will not come again, And take from seventy springs a score, It only leaves me fifty more. I was inspired to look up this old favourite by the dainty cherry blossom now blooming in our developing orchard. Thanks to A.E.Housman. Also I'd like to mention a great man who passed away in March and will be laid to rest on the first of May - John Cherry of Barrow upon Humber. So many people are thankful for his kindness.
